This premium compact SUV is striking, with its progressive polygonal design language that also evolves the iconic Singleframe grille, as well as a suite of cutting-edge infotainment and connectivity technologies. The all-new Q2 opens up the Audi brand to a new range of young and young-at-heart buyers, offering easy entry and excellent visibility, but also a sporty seating position for the driver and front passenger.

Features & Benefits

01

Edgy and Eye-Catching Design

The design of the new Audi Q2 gives it a powerful stance. It is angular and edgy when viewed from the front and the large, octagonal Singleframe grille imbues strength and dynamism. The low roofline is very eye-catching, and descends into a long roof spoiler supported by contrasting ‘blades’ at the C pillar.

The rear of the Audi Q2 is boldly sculpted. A powerfully arched bumper and a diffuser that has an underbody-protection look – differentiated according to the trim line – gives the car a solid road stance.

The compact SUV sets standards in aerodynamics. The air inlets in the bumper and the blades on the C-pillars are aerodynamically optimised. The roof edge spoiler extends far to the rear so that the flow of air breaks off late and cleanly.

Advanced Technology with Individual Style

The handling of the Audi Q2 is agile, yet comfortable. Powerful engines combined with an adaptive suspension and a lightweight body makes the Q2 even more dynamic among compact SUVs.

Audi also has a reputation for setting standards when it comes to its innovative infotainment operating concept, MMI touch.

The new MMI all-in-touch control unit with large touchpad makes operation child’s play. The voice control of the MMI navigation plus is also state-of-the-art. It understands countless formulations and allows dictation of text messages, aiding navigation commands and is also available in the Radio and Media menus.

The virtual cockpit is also on board – a 12.3-inch TFT screen with a high-resolution display, displaying all of the necessary information right in the driver’s line-of-sight, which is also complemented by the Heads-Up Display.

LED light strips illuminate the instrument panel inlays inside the cabin, adjacent to the centre console. They shine with a subtle, homogeneous light that can be varied between 10 colours. This means Q2 customers get many options for expressing their own personal style in the interior.

Greater Safety

A highlight is the graduated range of driver assistance systems. No production car currently offers more in this area of technology.

The adaptive cruise control (ACC) with traffic jam assist relieves the chore of driving in slow-moving traffic roads in good condition. It uses the radar sensors and the video camera for guiding the car through gentle steering interventions. It keeps the Audi Q2 at a safe distance from the vehicle ahead.

The Audi pre sense front (AEB) safety system is also on board. The system prompts the driver to apply the brake according to a complex warning concept with visual and acoustic signals and a braking jolt. Other systems in the line-up include adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function, the lane-departure warning system, Audi side assist, the lane-keeping Audi active lane assist, and cross-traffic assist rear that support the driver while reversing out of tight situations.

Lightweight Design and Engineering

When it comes to lightweight construction, the Audi Q2’s safety cell is extremely torsionally rigid and is typical of the high build quality Audi is renowned for. A 5-star EuroNCAP safety rating has been awarded, with the local ANCAP result expected to mirror this.

Thanks to the strict lightweight concept from Audi, the basic version of the Q2 remains less than 1280kg kerb weight unladed – depending on the engine version. This relatively light kerb weight and the excellent rigidity enable sporty handling combined with great comfort. Sound-dampening glazing guarantees a low noise level, even at high speeds on the highway.

High-strength steels make up 22 percent of the structure. They are used in the A- and B- pillars, the roof line and the floor, and provide a high level of passive occupant safety in the event of an accident.

Frugal Efficiency

Thanks to its excellent fuel efficiency, thanks to the low weight, the all-new Audi Q2 also presents a good environmental balance sheet. The first generation of the compact SUV impresses with efficient engines that keep CO2 emissions low.

The entry level 1.4 TFSI model features fuel-saving Cylinder-on-Demand technology that shuts down two of the four cylinders under light throttle loads.

Attainable Luxury

The all-new Audi Q2 features superior technology. It comes with intelligent assistance systems, infotainment and connectivity solutions.

The new range will be offered initially in two model lines: the 1.4 TFSI design for $41,000 and the 2.0 TDI quattro sport for $47,900.

Customers place a high value on all of the Audi Q2 new features such as the sporty seven-speed S tronic, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), MMI Navigation, Bluetooth and smartphone interface, voice control and parking system plus a rear view camera in the vehicle’s standard specification. Automatic air-conditioning with dual-zone climate control, leather-appointed seats, auto-dimming interior mirror, a contrasting C-pillar blade and either 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels, depending on the model, round out the key highlights.
