The Citroen Cactus is a breakthrough in automotive design with more design, more useful technology, more efficiency and a greater emphasis on what really matters to customers.
It has been designed to bring together form and function, providing a range of innovative design led solutions to practical problems.
In the hugely competitive compact SUV segment the Citroen Cactus stands apart with a unique design that is both functional and attractive.
This original vehicle, based on a “design to value” approach, meets a specific challenge: to bring customers more of what really matters.
This approach sought to reduce wasted resources (and fuel) by integrating latest generations powertrains, significantly reduce weight, increase overall efficiency and design innovative features that added to both the form and function of the vehicle.
The Cactus also stands apart for its wide range of innovative technologies and the widest array of personalisation options with a total 23,184 possible combinations available locally
Much like its namesake, the Citroen Cactus was designed from the outset to be resource conscious and protect itself from potential outside damage.
Through design and engineering led solutions, the Citroen team were able to design and construct a vehicle that:
– Was a total 200kg lighter than a similarly sized vehicle (175kg from body construction and 25kg from a new all digital instrument display and interface)
– Weight reductions enabled the use of smaller, but not under powered, drivetrains – which reap overall performance gains and emissions reductions
– In Australia, the Citroen Cactus models with diesel engines are the most efficient, non-hybrid or electric, five seat vehicle available
